Government concludes auction of high-demand spectrum for mobile telecommunications.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced that government has concluded the auction of high-demand spectrum for mobile telecommunications and says that this will prove a significant milestone in growing and transforming the economy.

Writing in his weekly letter to the public, Ramaphosa said the new spectrum will be accompanied by agreed social obligations to connect public schools, health facilities and police stations over the next three years.
