Data from Statistics South Africa (Stats SA) has revealed a shocking truth about the state of businesses in the country.
“Stats SA collects administrative information on liquidations from Companies and Intellectual Property Commission and the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition,” said the organisation.
Stats SA said that more that 1,200 businesses have had to shut down their operations in 2023.
However, despite the high numbers, they are lower than those of 2022.
