More illegal miners resurface at Stilfontein mine

Seventeen illegal miners have resurfaced from two separate mine shafts in Stilfontein.Police say of the 17 illegal miners, 14 resurfaced from Margaret Shaft and three at Shaft 10. The 14 who resurfaced at the Margaret Shaft are foreign nationals from Lesotho, Zimbabwe and Mozambique.They are still being processed. Around 300 illegal miners are also appearing in the Stilfontein Magistrate's Court. Among the charges are illegal mining and contravening the Immigration Act.
